Understanding Product Categories and Custom Attributes

Organize your products effectively using multi-level categories and custom attributes for detailed specifications.

Understanding Product Categories and Custom Attributes

The Power of Organization

As your business grows, finding products becomes harder. Categories and attributes help you and your customers navigate your catalog with ease.

Multi-Level Categories

Pryseflow supports nested categories. For example, you can have Apparel > Men > Shoes. This structure is reflected in your marketplace navigation, helping customers find exactly what they need.

Custom Attributes

Sometimes standard fields aren't enough. Use Custom Attributes to store specific data points like:

  • Material: (e.g., 100% Cotton, Leather)
  • Warranty: (e.g., 1 Year, 5 Years)
  • Technical Specs: (e.g., Battery Life, Screen Size)

Setting Up Attributes

  1. Go to Inventory > Settings > Attributes.
  2. Create a new attribute (e.g., "Color").
  3. Define the options (e.g., "Red," "Blue," "Green").
  4. Assign these attributes to relevant product categories.

When you add a product to that category, Pryseflow will automatically prompt you to fill in these specific details.
